25-Year-Old Man Caught Posing As Dallas High School Student

DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Police have arrested a 25-year-old man they say was posing as a high school student.

According to Dallas Police, Sidney Bouvier Gilstrap-Portley graduated from North Mesquite High School seven years ago, but he enrolled at Skyline High School in Dallas last fall.

He then re-enrolled at Hillcrest under the name Rashon Richardson.

Dallas Superintendent Michael Hinojosa says the man entered the school system posing as a Hurricane Harvey evacuee from South Texas.

"For him to take advantage of the Harvey situation and then the homeless laws and then to get himself in front of our students, it is frustrating," Hinojosa says.

A former coach spotted Gilstrap-Portley and told the district.

He was arrested for tampering with government records, and the district says he may also have been having a relationship with a student at Hillcrest.
