4-Year-Old Found In Hot Car Thursday Dies
PROVIDENCE VILLAGE (1080 KRLD) - A North Texas toddler becomes the latest victim of an all too frequent occurrence.
NBC5 reports, a 4-year-old child has died Saturday after being discovered by a relative in a hot car Thursday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. outside a home on Franklin Drive in Providence Village, 12 miles east of Denton.
Paramedics treated the child at the scene before airlifting her to an area hospital where she was listed in critical condition. It's not known how long the child was in the car. The temperature at the time was in the mid 90's.
Authorities say no charges have been filed at this time. Texas Department of Family and Protective Services along with local authorities are investigating.
A 1-year-old in Galveston died in a hot car on Saturday after spending five hours in a hot car while a parent went to work.
