ADDISON (1080 KRLD)  - Mosquito trapping in Dallas County has led to the discovery of West Nile.

The virus was found in a mosquito trapped in the 75254 ZIP code of Addison.

No human cases have been reported.

As of Monday, county officials had not released any plans to spray for mosquitoes in light of the positive sample.

Symptoms of the disease include headache, high fever, neck stiffness, and muscle weakness, just to name a few.

The World Health Organization says the best way to protect yourself against mosquitos in general included dressing in long sleeves, draining standing water near your home, and using an insect repellent with DEET.
