DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - It's going to be a Merry Christmas for hundreds of teachers across north Texas after a huge donation from a secret Santa.

A donor who insisted on staying anonymous called and pledged to fund over 1,000 classroom projects that had been posted on the website.

Teachers often post requests on the website asking for help to fund items ranging from cleaning and office supplies to new equipment for classrooms.

The donation was coordinated through 'Best In Class,' and Rob Shearer with the organization says in total the donor's goodwill effort totalled more than $629,000, will help 356 campuses in 20 cities across the area, and benefit around 120,000 students.

He says the projects included a turtle and aquarium setup for a pre kindergarten class, fidget toys for special education students and even a kit to teach students how to build a computer at Richardson High School.
