MCKINNEY (1080 KRLD) - It appears another multi-million dollar north Texas high school football stadium has a cracking problem.

McKinney ISD CFO Jason Bird told the school board that the new $70 million dollar stadium has cracks in the home concourse, visitor concourse and home and visitor concourse lower bowl wall areas.

Due to the cracks and the potential risk posed to maintenance and durability, Bird says they will have to delay the opening.

Bird remains confident that the stadium will be state of the art when finished and is expected to be used for more than 50 years.

The district is expected to release a statement on the matter later today.
