ARLINGTON (KRLD) - Police in Arlington say a robber has been targeting cell phone stores. They believe the same suspect is connected to five robberies since mid-November.

"In the first three offenses he walked in and displayed a knife," said Lt. Christopher Cook with the Arlington Police Department. "In the last two, he's now possessing a firearm...and used a handgun. We think the possibility of violence is increasing."

So far, police have linked the suspect to robberies at Boost Mobile stores on South Cooper Street and South Collins Street, plus a Metro PCS Store on Matlock Road. They say it's possible he is also connected to other robberies in the DFW area.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male, about 5-foot-3 and weighing 200 pounds. He usually wears a black and grey hoodie and uses a bandana to cover his face.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to call the Tarrant County Crime Stoppers Hotline at 817-469-TIPS.
