ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD) - A North Texas woman has been arrested after police claim she swindling thousands of dollars from victims by offering car repairs.

Authorities say Debra Turner of Arlington would promise her victims a great repair for minimal cost.

"Sometimes she would cold call people. In one instance she was driving and saw a car that was damaged and went up and made contact with that person claiming she could help them out with repairs."

Steven Bartolotta with police says she created phony invoices and used images of dealerships in Arlington to present herself to these victims as legitimate.

Arlington Police know of 3 victims so far, with those being taken for more than $10,000 dollars.

Bartolotta believes there are more people who fell for her scam in both the region and even out of the state, and urges anyone who believes they were swindled by Turner to call police.
