AT&T Byron Nelson Starts At New South Dallas Course

DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The AT&T Byron Nelson golf tournament starts today at a new course in South Dallas.

The Byron Nelson tournament had been held at the Four Seasons in Las Colinas for years, but it's moving to the Trinity Forest Golf Club near I-45 and Loop 12.

Conrad Schindler graduated from Texas A&M and earned his PGA card last year. He says it's tough learning a new course, but he looks forward to playing in front of a home-town crowd.

Schindler says the biggest change is there are no trees on the new course.

The Byron Nelson expects attendance to top 270,000 people.

Parking is about ten miles away at Dallas Fair Park, and the tournament is running shuttles to the course.
