Austin Man Rescued Off A Colorado Mountain

PITKIN COUNTY (1080 KRLD) - The Pitkin County Sheriff's Office says 56-year-old Keith Brewer fell 100 feet into a gully and had to be rescued from Colorado's Maroon Peak. 

Someone found Brewer who was severely injured on Saturday. The Aspen Daily News reports the injured hiker was found close to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The sheriff's office says he had broken ribs. Rescuers pulled him to safety into a helicopter around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.  He's now in a hospital and no word on his condition.
