Bar Where Plano Killer Allegedly Got Drunk Going Out Of Business
PLANO (1080 KRLD) - Nearly a year after Plano's worst-ever mass murder, the bar where the killer allegedly got drunk is now going out of business.
Called The Local Public House, the tavern has agreed to give up its liquor license to avoid a long legal fight with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
The TABC has been investigating since last September when Spencer Hight gunned down eight people including his estranged wife at her home where she was hosting a football watch party.
The TABC concluded that bartenders noticed Hight was acting weird and was armed with a pistol and a knife. However, the owner ordered them not to call police.
The report also shows Hight was served two cocktails, two beers and a shot of vodka in the hours before the murders.
