BEDFORD (KRLD) - Police says a Bedford man to try to hire someone to kill his wife.

Police arrested Thomas Salinas Jr. after his friend contacted authorities saying Salinas had asked him if he would "help him get rid" of his wife.

According to a police affidavit, Salinas told his friend that his wife had been drinking and doing a lot of cocaine lately. He was upset because his wife had asked for a divorce and thought she would get a lot of money.

Salinas then asked the friend if he could get some cocaine laced with something that would cause his wife to overdose.

The affidavit claims Salinas told the friend he would give him $30,000 dollars when the job was complete.

Salinas was charged with criminal solicitation of capital murder. He has since been released on bond
