FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - It was not the ending a North Texas family had hoped for.

On the afternoon of August 10th, Michael "Justin" Archie , 27, of Keller disappeared after being involved in a crash on Evans Avenue, near JPS Hospital in Fort Worth.

On Friday night, the family got the news that it had been dreading -- Archie's body was found near the crash site.

"They just found him behind a house, decomposed," says Archie's sister, Ashley Archie.

The family became concerned after being unable to reach Justin, especially when he missed his daughter's 5th birthday.

The family is, understandably, stunned.

"Everyone's just devastated, and some of us are processing it," Ashley Archie says. "It's just hard to accept it."

At this time, the specific circumstances surrounding his death are unclear.

Ashley says she will miss her brother.

"He lived in the moment. He was a happy, goofy -- basically, he was the life of the party," she says. "He just had a very big personality. He was just a wonderful dad. He and his daughter were real close. He was my best friend."

The family has now turned its attention to planning for Justin's funeral.

"We're looking to raise money for a funeral and also to do a celebration in his honor," Ashley Archie says.
