June 11, 2018 - 5:24 am

FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - Crews will spend much of the day today patching a water main that broke Sunday, and shut down more than a dozen businesses near the TCU campus.

Fort Worth official say an eight inch water line broke Sunday afternoon, flooding University Drive just south of I-30.

15 businesses lost water and wre forced shut down yesterday.

The Fort Worth Water Department says crews had to wait to start repairing lines because they had to mark gas lines to make sure none of them were cut while they fixed the water main.

The city says those crews fixed the water line about 2:00 a.m. Monday morningm, but crews will still be there today patching the pavement along University south of I-30.

In fact, an SUV got stuck in the hole created by the water main yesterday afternoon. No one was hurt.
