DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Along the Katy Trail in Dallas, Carry the Load walkers pass them with ease.  But speed isn't the mission for the Carry On organization.

With each step the six individuals carrying the 600 lb. Honor Log remember the more than 20,000 Texans since World War II who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

"The length (of the log) is the same length as a casket, the diameter is roughly 22 inches, signifying the 22 veteran suicides a day," says founder Jeremy Soles, a Marine who founded the organization with the help of other veterans in Dallas.

The ultimate goal of Carry On is to have a chapter in each state, and a group of volunteers carrying their own Honor Log for those who died.

Soles says that there are more programs on the way to assist the loved ones of fallen veterans and first responders.
