CEDAR HILL (KRLD) - Cedar Hill police are looking for a suspect that attempted to kidnap a 16-year-old girl when she was on her way home from a recreational center Wednesday.

Police released a sketch of the suspect on social media Thursday.

Authorities say the unidentified man approached the teen in the 1000 block of S. Clark Road at around 9 a.m. and asked her several questions before pointing a pistol at her and ordering her in his vehicle.

The victim complied and the suspect drove away. As he was driving near the intersection of High Meadows Way and Mt. Lebanon Road, the victim opened the door and jumped out of the moving vehicle.

The teen ran towards another car and used the driver's phone to call 911 while the suspect fled the scene.

During a subsequent interview with the teen, she told authorities the same man has approached her in the past.

The suspect is believed to be between 18-20-years-old. He has a thick, “chin-strap” type beard with no mustache, and has a “circle” type tattoo near his right elbow and a “tribal” tattoo further up his arm.

Police believe the suspect may live in the area and are asking anyone with any information on the suspect to contact them at 972-291-5181.
