Changes Coming To Fort Worth's West 7th Street Entertainment District

April 30, 2018 - 7:30 am

FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - Big changes are coming to the west 7th Street Entertainment District.

Fort Worth officials say they will now make some streets in the area one-way, add side walks, install additional parking meters and boost the number of Fort Worth police officers in the area.

Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price says West 7th has become so popular in the past several years, the changes are necessary.

The one-way streets will help traffic flow and parking rates will vary from $1 during the day to $2.50 at night.

Another $8 million in changes to West 7th could be possible if voters pass a bond issue on May 5th.
