Convicted Kaufman County Murderer Eric Williams Loses Supreme Court Appeal

DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The man sent to death row for killing a District Attorney, his wife and a top prosecutor has lost his latest appeal.

The U.S. Supreme Court upheld the conviction and death sentence of Eric Williams, a former Kaufman County Justice of the Peace who killed Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland, his wife Cynthia and Chief Assistant DA Mark Hasse in 2013.

Willams' now ex-wife Kim pleaded guilty to murder in exchange for a 40-year prison sentence.

Eric Williams is incarcerated in the Polunsky Unit of the Texas Department of Corrections and is awaiting execution.
