DALLAS (KRLD) - Dallas Cowboys defensive back Marquez White has been arrested for allegedly threatening another man with a gun on the Dallas North Tollway.

White was arrested June 15 for the incident that happened this past October.

White's attorney Toby Shook says it happened as White was heading home and exiting the tollway. He sped up to exit angering another man, who sped up on the service road.

The two exchanged words and according to Shook, the man began driving aggressively. Shook said White in fear for his life pulled out a gun that he legally owned. Shook says he never pointed it at the man. The other man followed White to his apartment and called police.

White wasn't initially arrested.

Shook says because White moved, it delayed the investigation.

He’s now facing charges for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, which is a second-degree felony.

White was the Cowboys’ sixth-round draft pick from Florida State University in 2017. He played in a few preseason games and was ultimately signed to the practice squad.
