DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Terrence Williams has his own version of the events that landed him in jail early last Saturday morning.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams was arrested for public intoxication early Saturday morning. He has since posted out a bond of $369.

Frisco Police say around 4:45 a.m. Saturday, they had reports of a minor accident at Frisco Green Avenue and Lebanon Road. Reports say a blue Lamborghini hit a light pole, and police traced that car back to Williams.

Police say Williams was later seen riding an electric scooter in the road near his house. He was then arrested.

However, Williams has a different version.

In a statement, he claims the car in front of him slammed on its brakes, causing him to jump the curb to avoid hitting the car. Williams says he exchanged information with that driver, and his neighbor brought him home. He then took his scooter to go back and meet the tow truck.

Williams claims the Frisco officer arrested him without performing a sobriety test.

Williams's attorneys says he didn't even hit a light pole, and that his arrest was not related to the traffic incident.

The Dallas Cowboys organization says they're aware of what's happening.

Williams is a five year veteran of the team and recovering from foot surgery done in January.
