Dallas Man Indicted For Fatal Accident, Driving While Distracted

DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A Dallas man has been indicted for killing a teenager while speeding and driving while distracted. 

According to court records, 31-year old Terrelwin Jones of Dallas is facing charges of manslaughter and involvement in an accident with injury for a fiery wreck that happened in March.

Police say he was speeding and on a cell phone, not paying attention to traffic, when he got into an accident on the Dallas North Tollway near Walnut Hill.

Several other cars and pickup trucks were hit, one caught fire killing 15-year old Guy Delaney, a student at Jesuit High in Dallas.

A police report says the Mercedes that Jones was driving did not appear to brake.

The accident happened in a construction zone where the speed limit had been reduced.
