DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The City of Dallas has filed a lawsuit in an attempt to shut down Green Spa.

The business on Shady Trail has been raided twice this year, and the manager was arrested last month on a charge of promoting prostitution.

Attorneys for the City of Dallas claim the owners are operating an illegal prostitution enterprise and say it should be considered a common nuisance under Texas law.

A judge this week granted the city's request for a temporary restraining order against the business and ordered it to shut down immediately. Dallas Police were granted the authority to remove anyone from the premises and to change the locks. That temporary restraining order runs through July 30th.

Another court hearing has been set for July 29th on the city's request for an injunction against Green Spa.

The city is asking the judge to order the business to remain closed for at least one year.
