DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Dallas police will honor their fallen officers and officers lost in the line of duty across the country with a memorial service today.

Officer Rogelio Santander was killed last month, and people will also remember the Dallas officers and DART officer killed in July 2016.

The ceremony begins with a march to the Dallas Police memorial at Akard and Young Streets, across from Dallas City hall. Current and former police officers will take part in the march. They encourage their loved ones and any member of the public to join them.

The memorial ceremony itself includes a rendition of Taps, a performance from the Dallas Police choir, and a 21 gun salute. The "Roll call of honor" will also be read.

The ceremony starts at noon.
