Downtown Dallas Federal Building Remains Closed Following Shooting

June 18, 2019 - 6:30 am

DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Investigators are keeping the Earle Cabell Federal Building in downtown Dallas closed today as they work to learn more about yesterday's shooting.

Members of the public are not allowed into the federal building, but people who work in there can go in today.

The federal coruts will not hold trials or other proceedings today, and the passport office inside the building is closed as well.

Investigators, including the FBI, are still working to learn why the shooter Brian Clyde opened fire yesterday. However, they say they're thankful for the strong police response, which kept things from getting worse.

Some streets and intersections around the federal courthouse will also be closed so traffic doesn't compromise the investigation.
