RICHARDSON (1080 KRLD) - Former Mayor Laura Maczka has been indicted on six federal counts of bribery and conspiracy.

Laura Maczka served as the Mayor of Richardson from May 2013 through May 2015.

Maczka allegedly campaigned against apartments, but that was before a developer apprached her.

Investigators say Maczka was on the take when she voted in favor of a controversial apartment development, Palasades Property, in 2013.

The 30-page indictment says Maczka accepted money, trips and a job she wasn't qualified for in exchange for helping shepherd the Palisades Property through the approval process.

Named along with the Maczka in the indicement is developer Mark Jordan.
