FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - The city of Fort Worth is holding meetings with city employees on the proposed pension reform plan.

Official say the meetings will include increased contributions by both the city and employees, and to makes changes to the cost of living adjustments.

The city’s human resources director, Brian Dickerson, says he’s holding the meetings to educate the employees, because they’ll be voting next month whether to approve increases to their contributions.

The city says it needs to make the changes to address a $1.6 billion shortfall.
