FOREST HILL (KRLD) - One person was hurt after a family escaped a fire Thursday morning in Forest Hill, south of Fort Worth. The fire started in the living room of a house near I-20 and Forest Hill Drive.

"When they got there, they had smoke showing," says Police Captain Steve Yancey. "They were able to knock it out pretty quickly. Everybody made it out okay. They were all standing in the yard when the fire department got there."

The family escaped the house, but one person fell and was taken to the hospital.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading beyond the living room. They are now trying to find the cause.
