FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - A Fort Worth pawn shop clerk is shot dead inside his store.

Sergeant Chris Britt says the shooting happened shortly after 5:30 yesterday evening at Fort Worth Gold and Silver on Jacksboro Highway.

“It’s believed that a group of people, unknown how many, went into that business, possibly as a robbery attempt,” says Fort Worth Police Sgt. Chris Britt.

The clerk, Gary Duke, 58, was shot several times.

He died about an hour later at JPS Hospital.

Another man, Brian Webb, 31, was also shot and died at the scene.

Sgt. Britt says it’s unclear how or if Webb was connected to the robbery.

So far, no arrests have been made.
