ROCKWALL (1080 KRLD) - A grand jury has indicted four people for selling a 14-year old girl to an Illinois couple for sex.

According to the Rockwall County District Clerk's office, Dorothy Marks, Davey Marks, Steven Marks and Lila Miller all face three identical felony charges of interference with child custody, trafficking a child to engage in sexual conduct and selling or purchasing a child for sexual performance.

The victim was a 14-year old girl.

Steven Marks and Miller are accused of selling the girl to an Elgin, Illinois man for $17,500. But when the buyer only had half the money, court records say the couple got the girl back in January and worked on selling her to a Florida buyer.

The girl escaped before that could happen.

Child Protective Services took six other children into custody at the time.
