FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - North Texas developer Hillwood purchases 600 acres of land at in the Alliance Westport sector of AllianceTexas in far north Fort Worth.

"This is a piece of land we've been looking at for literally decades right in the heart of the project," says Tony Creme, Hillwood senior vice president. "It connects two primary pieces of infrastructure that Alliance has really built up over the last three decades, and those are the BNSF Railway Alliance intermodal facility and Alliance Airport."

The land will soon become very strategically-located industrial space.

"This land acquisition will now allow us to build 36-million square feet of future industrial development at Alliance," says Creme. "Whether it’s an e-commerce operation or a traditional distribution center shipping operation — within one mile, you'll have the air, the highway and the rail accessible to your business."

Alliance Westport is already home to more than eight-million square feet of industrial space, and this land acquisition will expand that more than five-fold.

"We're very excited about this land," says Creme. "We don't know exactly what the future holds, but we're excited to own it.
