Hit-And-Run Suspect Arrested Following Death Of Deep Ellum Bartender

DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - An arrest has been made following the recent fatal hit-and-run accident involving a popular Deep Ellum bartender. 

Dallas police say Ian Brooks was riding home on his motorcycle when an unknown vehicle rear-ended him in the left middle lane on northbound Central Expressway.

Poliec say Brooks was thrown from the bike and killed. The other vehicle’s driver didn't stop.

On Monday, police arrested 26-year-old Jessica Pratt claiming she was the driver of that vehicle.

Brooks was the general manager at Brick & Bones in Deep Ellum where co-workers say he was a special person.

A fundraiser was held at Trees in Deep Ellum to raise money to compensate Brooks’ family and co-workers for time missed from work.
