QUINLAN (1080 KRLD) - A Hunt County sheriff's deputy has shot and killed a man suspected of stabbing three people, including two teenagers.

Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks says three people were stabbed Wednesday night at a home on the edge of the Quinlan city limits. He says the suspect then put two of the victims, a 17 year old girl and 18 year old man, in his car and drove off.

The Greenville Herald Banner is reporting a Hunt County deputy spotted the car, turned on his lights and started following the suspect. Meeks says the suspect sped off and crashed near Thompson Middle School.

Meeks says the suspect then got out of the car and started running toward the deputy, who shot and killed the suspect.

The two teenaged victims were in the backseat and taken to the hospital. The adult at the house was hospitalized as well.

Meeks says deputies are still investigating what led to the stabbing and if the victims and suspect knew each other.
