Jordan Spieth Going Pink For A Cause

May 10, 2019 - 6:29 pm

DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The caddy for Dallas native Jordan Spieth is packing a bright pink bag this week at the AT&T Byron Nelson. That bag will be used to make a difference in the lives of military families.

Golfers on the PGA Tour have a tradition of honoring their moms by going pink over Mother's Day weekend. Spieth and sponsor AT&T decided to salute moms who are serving their country.

Spieth and AT&T teamed up to produce the special-edition pink golf bag. After the tournament ends this weekend, Spieth will autograph the bag and donate it to Operation Shower. The organization has a mission of throwing baby showers for military moms-to-be. Operation Shower plans to use the Spieth bag to raise money and bring joy to more military families.

Founded in 2007, Operation Shower has hosted some 5,000 military families at more than 100 showers. Each honored mother receives a full baby shower's worth of gifts and more.
