KELLER (1080 KRLD) - Police in Keller have broken up a crime ring that affected people across North Texas for months. Seven people are now in jail.

The suspects are accused of operating an identity theft crime ring, by stealing IDs, bank account numbers, and social security information. They used that to make fake IDs and buy whatever wasn’t nailed down.

“Everything from hotel rooms to products, to gas and rental vehicles,” says Keller police captain Chad Allen. “Everything you can imagine using money for.”

Police arrested the seven suspects this morning, at a home at Shady Grove & Buckner Lane. They had help from others including Colleyville and Southlake police. SWAT was also called out to help in the arrests, but all seven were taken in without incident.

Police say all the suspects are adults, but haven't identified them beyond that.

There's no word on what charges might be filed.
