DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The agency that operated school buses for several North Texas districts is shutting down, but the story is not over.

A lawsuit has been filed against a long list of people and companies involved with Dallas County Schools, alleging a conspiracy that cost taxpayers more than $125 million.

The civil suit's been filed by the committee created to handle the shutdown of Dallas County Schools, which was approved by voters last fall.

The list of defendants includes Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway, who allegedly had a business relationship with Slater Swartwood.

Swartwood has pleaded guilty to a money laundering charge and admitted funnelling bribes to DCS Superintendent Rick Sorrells.
