DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Jason Carlile had sat in the Wichita County jail since December of last year following his arrest for sexual assault of a child younger than 14.

He was indicted in 2015 and had been jailed since last December following his arrest in Mexico.

His parents paid his $100,000 bond Saturday after they won a $15 million Texas lottery jackpot on October 31st in Wichita Falls.

In 2007, Carlile pleaded guilty to buying a 15-year-old girl from her mother for $3,000 and received a three year sentence. Authorities say he bought her from her mother.

Federal marshals found the child after tracking her to Mexico.

Prosecutors asked for strict restrictions on Carlile’s bail. They say they are concerned his parent’s new found wealth could help him skip town.

Officials say Carlile will be required to wear a GPS monitor and remain in Wichita County.
