Mail Truck Catches Fire In West Dallas

June 11, 2018 - 5:20 am

Traffic is flowing  on a Dallas freeway this morning -- after a US Mail truck caught fire, causing serious delays for a couple of hours

Everything was going fine on I-30 near Sylvan in West Dallas -- until about two this morning.

All of a sudden, a west-bound semi carrying US mail clipped another vehicle -- and that apparently ruptured one of the big rig's saddle tanks.

Then, the fire broke out -- engulfing the tractor but leaving the trailer -- containing the mail -- pretty much undamaged.

Despite the very hot fire, no one was hurt.
