DALLAS (KRLD) - One person has been arrested after leading police on a chase across multiple North Texas cities.

Police say it started with a carjacking in Dallas, at a scrap yard off Westmoreland and I-30. Just after 9:00 this morning, the suspect forced a driver out of their truck, tried to run them over, and then drove away in the stolen truck.

Dallas police spotted the truck and followed. As the chase turned north, DPS troopers also got involved.

The pursuit lasted maybe 30 minutes. The truck finally stopped along I-35 near Corinth Parkway.

The suspect was arrested without incident, and nobody was hurt. A dog had been in the truck the whole time. Both dog and truck are now back with their owner.
