FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - A North Texas man's scheme to fraudulently obtain credit cards falls apart.

Federal prosecutors say Loragecar Figaro fraudulently applied for credit cards through Chase Bank under names of those living mostly in the 76133 ZIP code in southeast Fort Worth.

Figaro allegedly had a mail carrier intercept those cards and give them to him, after which he charged about $374,000 on them.

A Chase Bank fraud investigator contacted the U.S. postal inspector's office; and a short time later, Figaro was arrested in a sting operation as he was trying to obtain more credit cards.

A federal grand jury indicted Figaro yesterday.
