CARROLLTON (KRLD) - A local business owner charged with killing another business owner was sentenced to 45 years in prison Thursday.

According to the Carrollton Police Department, Andrew Steven Gibson pleaded guilty in the death of 37-year-old Alfred Amour Jr.

Gibson also pleaded guilty to two counts of tampering with or fabricating evidence, one count of criminal mischief, and one count of burglary of a building. He received 32 years in prison for those charges. However, the two sentences will be served concurrently.

Back in March of 2016, Armour was shot to death after he interrupted a burglary at his fish and aquarium store, Dynamic Reef Systems.

Armour's body was later found in a wooded area in Flower Mound.

Detectives received a tip that led them to Gibson who owned and operated another business a block away from Armour's store.
