FLOWER MOUND (1080 KRLD) - The driver of an SUV that plunged into a river inside a Flower Mound subdivision Sunday evening has died.

A witness says Daniel Morrow, 34, was driving his SUV through the River Walk at Central Park subdivision with his daughter, 8, inside.

Morrow lived in an apartment in that subdivision.

"It was noted by a witness that the vehicle appeared to be accelerating and driving erratic," says Flower Mound Police Capt. Shane Jennings.

The SUV plunged into a man-made river on subdivision grounds.

"The female was able to exit the vehicle and get to the shore as officers were arriving,"  says Capt. Jennings, "and one of our officers entered into the water and was able to break the window and helped to get the driver out."

Morrow was rushed to a hospital, but he did not survive.

Investigators have an initial idea as to what happened.

"Some information from relatives of (Morrow) lead us to believe that he possibly suffered from a medical event that caused the accident," Jennings says.

The investigation is continuing.
