MANSFIELD (1080 KRLD) - Some very good news for the Mansfield High School football family - their head football coach is now cancer-free!
Back in January, Mansfield High School head football coach Daniel Maberry was diagnosed with stage four non-Hodgkins lymphoma.
Maberry's wife, Cami, wrote on Facebook earlier this week that a recent biopsy showed no detectable lymphoma in his bone marrow.
Maberry has been Mansfield High's head football coach since 2016, leading the Tigers to a 21-5 record in that time span.
A couple of his players took to Twitter to express their joy at the news that their coach's cancer is in remission.

A GoFundMe campaign has raised more than $83,000 in five months for Maberry's medical treatment.
