DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Cedar Hill ISD says more police officers will be at Cedar Hill High School Friday because of a threat posted on Instagram Thursday night.

Someone posted, "Don't go to school tomorrow i'm shooting up the school and people will die be ready."

The district says Cedar Hill ISD police worked with the city's police department to identify the location where the threat was made.

"We have a great relationship with the city police department," says Cedar Hill ISD's Jamie Brown. "We are thankful for their partnership."

Brown says police have identified suspects and have a plan to apprehend them. Classes will continue on schedule Friday, but the district will have more officers at the high school.

Brown is also urging parents to talk to kids about safety.

"We value our partnership with parents," she says. "We ask them always to talk to their students about safety and encourage them if they see something to say something."
