MIDLOTHIAN (1080 KRLD) - Three years after her murder, the question remains, who killed Missy Bevers?

The case caught national attention, when on the morning of April 18, 2016 Bevers was attacked and killed shortly after arriving at the Creekside Church in Midlothian to teach an early-morning fitness class.

Surveillance video showed a person wearing tactical gear arrive before Bevers was killed. The person's identity remains a mystery and law enforcement have only been able to determine the person's approximate height; 5 feet 8 inches tall.

Midlothian police say they continue to actively investigate with the help of the FBI and Texas Rangers, and have received more than 2,000 tips from all over the world.

Investigators say a car captured on surveillance in the parking lot of a nearby business in the early-morning hours before the murder was committed, is one they are interested in. It appears to be a 2010-2012 Nissan Altima, 2010-2012 Infinity G37 or similar type vehicle.

Bevers' family was questioned in the case, and are not considered suspects.

In a text message to KRLD, Brandon Bevers, Missy's husband says today is a somber one, but the family remains strong.

A $50,000 reward has been offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
