DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - If you want to learn more about severe storms, what to watch for, and how to report them, the National Weather Service is offering dozens of SKYWARN classes across Texas over the next few months.

"We have over 40 classes that we put on through the months of January, February, and March," says Jennifer Dunn, Warning Coordination Meterologist with the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.

"What we provide is an education on severe thunderstorms," Dunn added, "How they form, what they look like, what the threats are associated with them, and how North Texas residents can keep themselves safe."

Several of the seminars will offer basic and advanced classes.
