New Study Shows Cash Is King When It Comes To Credit Card Rewards

The research by shows 49% of adults in the United States have at least one cash back credit card. That's up from 43% last year.

Industry Analyst Ted Rossman with says, "That was way ahead of other types of rewards like gas and retail perks, airline miles, and hotel points."

He says millennials cashed in more often than other age groups.

He also says cash back card usage skews higher among those living in the Northeast. 

He says around 56% of Northeasterners have at least one cash back card, compared with 51%  of Westerners, 47% of Southerners and 43% of Midwesterners
