Arlington Police Chase, Crash

ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD) - An Arlington man has been identified as the one who died yesterday in a crash that ended a long chase.

It began when police saw David Hernanez driving an SUV that had been reported stolen in Granbury.

The officers tried to pull him over but Hernandez refused to stop.

But the pursuit came to an end when the SUV crashed and rolled in a parking lot on Bowen Street near West Division. That's about three miles from Hernandez's home on North Elm Street.

Arlington police say Hernandez had a long rap sheet. His name was released late last night by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.
