Baby Abducted in Rendon Found Safe 20 Miles Away In Alvarado

ALVARADO (1080  KRLD) - A baby abducted in a car stolen in Tarrant County has been found safe overnight. 

About 8:30 p.m. last night a car was taken from a Dollar General store in Rendon. In the back of the car was an eleven-month-old baby.

The Tarrant County Sheriff's Office activated the Amber Plan with information distributed in the media and on Tex-DOT highway signs.

About five hours later, the baby was found in Alvarado, about 20 miles away.

She was taken to the Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth to get checked out but she did not seem to be hurt.

Investigators have not said anything about possible arrests.
