Another retail giant is closing stores as it struggles to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

Bed Bath & Beyond says it will close 200 stores over the next two years as it works to cut costs.

The home goods retailer operates just over 950 stores in the US and Canada, including 21 right here in the North Texas metro area.

The company hopes to save between $250 to $350 million with the closing and other restructing moves it's planning.

Lay-offs are expected but the company isn't saying how many yet, only that it will work to place some employees in stores that will be closed in jobs at other locations.

Since the pandemic, Bed Bath & Beyond has been scaling down at it's retail locations while working to improve it's online business.
