Collin County Officials Announce Shelter-In-Place Coronavirus Restrictions

MCKINNEY (1080 KRLD) - Collin County Officials have announced additional coronavirus restrictions to help stop the spread of the virus. 

Collin County Judge Chris Hill made the 'shelter at home' order on Tuesday urging residents to stay home, and if they do need to be out in public to remain at least 6 feet apart.

Hill says businesses must be able to comply with State and County guidelines and that gatherings be restricted to under 10 people. 

“All businesses and all jobs and all workers are essential” said Hill, who promises to keep all businesses open because “we need our economy to continue to work for us.”

There have been 45 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Collin County. Eight people have successfully recovered. There has been 1 confirmed death
