DALLAS (KRLD) - A 93-year-old McKinney woman became the fourth Collin County resident to die due to the coronavirus on Monday.

Health officials say her official cause of death is unrelated to the virus but that she is known to have tested positive for COVID-19.

“All of us at Collin County are saddened at the passing of a member of our community,” said Collin County Judge Chris Hill. “Her family is in our prayers during this difficult time.”

Officials previously announced that they had 287 positive cases of the coronavirus in the county. As of yesterday, 102 of those individuals have already recovered.
